Please check into our reservations
office at Level 2, 293 Shute Harbour
Rd Airlie Beach on the day before
departure to receive a pre departure
brief and to pick up your training
materials. [see map at bottom of
page].
The crew will meet you at the Kiosk
at the Abel Point Marina at Airlie
Beach at the departure time on the
first day and the vessel will head
out to sea within a few hours following
a full vessel and safety briefing.
The places the vessel cruises during
the week depend on wind and tide
but are sure to include some of
the best locations in the Whitsunday's.
We supply all training materials,
safety equipment required, meals,
linen, instruction and accommodation
aboard the vessel. You will need
to supply your own liquid refreshments
[other than tea and coffee] and
your own personal items.
Naturally all our courses are conducted
to the whim of Mother Nature. The
instructors and the crew (ie you)
will work out passage plans based
on wind and tide as the week progresses
and over the period ensure that
you have a great time and cover
all aspects of the syllabus.
Great Barrier Reef Marine Park
Entry Fee: Please note, there is
a Great Barrier Reef Marine Park
Entry Fee of AUD27 levied on all
visitors to the Marine Park. These
figures include administration charges
and are subject to change as per
Government legislation and are payable
at check in.
At certain times of year "Dangerous
jellyfish inhabit these waters and
passengers should take care for
their own safety. Passengers entering
the water do so at their own risk
and the owners or operators of the
vessel will not be liable for any
personal injury, illness, death
or any other consequences whatsoever
of passengers being stung by jellyfish".
To minimise this risk we recommend
that you wear a full length protective
"Stinger Suit" while swimming
and snorkelling during the cruise.
These are provided for hire either
at check in or aboard the vessel.
You will need to allow $10-$15 in
hire fees in the season.

Applicants should note that completion
of a courses does not guarantee
receipt of a certificate of competence.
Yachting Australia and International
Yachtmaster Training Certificates
will only be issued if course participants
are deemed competent at the end
of the course by our Instructor
/ Examiners. If a participants is
deemed to be not yet competent they
will receive a certificate of attendance
and advice from our instructors
on how to progress towards competency.
This may involve additional study
or more experience on board a yacht
to gain the necessary skills or
confidence.
